We invite the new chair-holder to build upon current research on  the governance of science, technology and innovation, constructive technology assessment, and the dynamics of science and technology in society. Recently the department initiated the platform ‘Strategic Intelligence for Digitalization of Societal Domains’ (SI4DS). We seek to boost our role as ‘watch tower’ for Grand Challenges and encourage societal groups, innovators and policy actors through research, education and expertise.

Within the department, we work closely with the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) on the dynamics and organization of scientific and high tech knowledge within innovation ecosystems.

You take responsibility for inspiring and inclusive team management, contribute to the mission of the university as people first, high tech university and advance the Twente position within the international STS field.
