Job description

For our newly established Twente University Centre for Cybersecurity Research (TUCCR), we are looking for an Operations Manager.

TUCCR is a public-private partnership where experts, professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, and students from industry and knowledge partners collaborate to deliver talents, innovations, and know-how in the domain of cybersecurity. Its founding partners are Betaalvereniging Nederland, BetterBe, Cisco, NCSC, NDIX, Northwave, SIDN, SURF, Thales, TNO, and the University of Twente. We have the ambition to expand the network of partners further and for our centre to be amongst the top cybersecurity research & innovation centres in the Netherlands. TUCCR is sustained by professionals and researchers from various disciplines including computer science, behavioural and social sciences, quantum physics, electrical engineering and mathematics. We are jointly providing the Cybersecurity education for more than 1000 students in our computer science bachelor and master programs.


Purpose of the operations manager
The operations manager is responsible for the execution and supervision of the operational, administrative and communication activities of TUCCR. The operations manager supports the management of TUCCR in carrying out the operational and organisational tasks related to stakeholder management and execution of the TUCCR activities, as well as supervision of administrative and contractual matters through interactions with the faculty and departmental staff responsible for administration, legal and finance.


Tasks

  • Operational support to the TUCCR management with respect to activity initiation, monitoring, and reporting, stakeholder meetings, strategic meetings and events.
  • Supervision of administrative, legal, and financial processes related to TUCCR activities, contracts and finances.
  • Orchestration and supervision of communication activities around TUCCR activities and events amongst others via the TUCCR website, newsletters and social media.

Profile

  • You have completed a business administration, business management, or similar education at least at bachelor level;
  • You ideally have demonstrable work experience in a comparable position;
  • You have a proactive and hands-on attitude with very good and crisp communication skills;
  • You work independently, but you also function well in a team;
  • You are internationally oriented and have a very good command of the Dutch and English languages in speaking and writing;
  • You have good digital skills;
  • Finally, you are an enthusiastic colleague who finds a friendly atmosphere in the team important and would like to help make a success of all activities of TUCCR.

We offer

  • We offer a position for at least 0.5 fte. You will be initially employed for two years. An extension after this period is a possibility;
  • Our terms of employment are in accordance with the Dutch Collective Labor Agreement for Universities (CAO) and include a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and a year-end bonus of 8.3%;
  • Depending on your relevant background and experience, the gross monthly salary on a full-time basis ranges from € 3746,--  to € 5127,-- per month;
  • A minimum of 29 leave days in case of full-time employment based on a formal workweek of 38 hours. A fulltime employment in practice means 40 hours a week, therefore resulting in 96 extra leave hours on an annual basis;
